Ask an Author Week #10: Terry Irene Blain

Question: What is the "coolest" or most interesting thing that has happened to you since becoming a published author?

Terry Irene Blain: I get to teach workshops and on-line classes. I’ve taught History, and now I’m teaching writing. And you get to meet so many other authors.

Kentucky Green: Journeying to her childhood home of Kentucky, April Williamson allows nothing to deter her. Certainly not Dan McKenzie who’s duty bound to escort her. Dan believes the frontier of 1794 is no place for women. But in spite of their mutual attractions, a dark secret in his past means April cannot be his.

How do you get ready to write and do you have a special place or ritual you use when writing?

Sorry, nothing special, just have to force myself to put my rear end the chair and my fingers on the keyboard.

Getting there is the hard part, as there are things to do instead of write, like lunch, or laundry, or whatever. But once I get to the keyboard, then I don't want to stop.

You just have to do what works for you.

Kentucky in the late 18th century - and a secret. Intriguing.

    Another one for my list.
